Please make sure that each Confirmandi has elected an appropriate Saint's name. Not a nickname (Katie for St. Katherine). Not a funny spelling of the Saint's name (Sunteeago for Santiago). Not the name of a place or thing in the Bible (Sepulcher, Galilee, Manger). Not a newly created name splicing two Saint's names together (Juanlupe for Juan Diego and Our Lady of Guadalupe).
This should be a simple process. Each Confirmandi need to choose a Saint whose characteristics they want to emulate to grow closer to God, a Saint whom they can pray to for intercession. Not because the name sounds good; or because is the name of a friend, relative or movie star!
